Guest review by Characterstays:

As a grubby little farm dweller, to me there is nothing that beats a glamorous stay in a clean, open space. A stay at Thonga Beach Lodge is like entering into one of those minimalist decor magazine photographs that those of us with messy partners, kids or dogs pore over with homicidal intent.

Looking around the suite I can see why it is said that what makes minimalism work is to have varied textures within the same space. Thonga Beach Lodge achieves this effect brilliantly, with surprises at every corner. In my suite there are cool, smooth floors, contrasted with grass mat walls and a thatched roof. The bed is dressed in clean, silky white linen. The bathroom is a flow of smooth, shiny, copper-coloured concrete. The glass doors and windows are wide and open, with natural reed blinds.
