2 cups stoneground cake flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 cup castor sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bd  tsp baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bd tsp salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bd  tsp cinnamon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bc tsp clove powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n

100g Roasted Hazelnuts, skins removed and roughly chopped 100g roughly chopped chocolate chips <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wet Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bc  cup strong cold filter coffee\/espresso <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 tsp vanilla essence<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 egg<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 tblsp milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sift the flour, bicarb, baking powder,\ncinnamon & clove powder into a bowl, then add the rest of the dry\ningredients <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whisk wet ingredients together lightly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the wet ingredients to the dry\ningredients, mix with a spoon till combined, it will look crumbly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now turn the mixture out onto a very\nlightly floured counter, mix with your hands till the dough comes together<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Form into 3 long thin logs by rolling with your hands, using a touch of flour to stop them sticking to the counter and your hands<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biscotti Ready To Bake<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Place onto a large greased oven tray <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bake till risen and \u2018half\u2019 cooked. This should take 50 minutes at 160 degrees Remove, cool slightly and slice with a bread knife into biscotti. Do not cool completely before slicing as the logs will become too brittle and crumble \u2013 lay the pieces onto 2 oven trays lined with greaseproof paper and bake again at 130 degrees till dried \u2013 1 hour to 1 hour 20 mins <\/p>\n\n\n\n
